The story
A home for Oaxaca’s next generation of makers
Casa Khnum is a neighborhood house for ceramicists, textile artists, young entrepreneurs, and families in Oaxaca. The space has been held together with love for years, but its roof, plumbing, and studios now need urgent restoration.
With your support, we will make the house safe, accessible, and ready for daily workshops, apprenticeships, and community dinners. Every contribution helps protect a living place of culture, skill-sharing, and belonging.
What your gift helps build
The first phase repairs the roof and water system. Next, we will open two accessible studios, furnish a community kitchen, and launch free monthly skill sessions for local youth.
Updates
The first delivery of roofing materials has arrived. Next, we are repairing the water system and reopening two classrooms.
Community support continued this week, helping the campaign move closer to its next practical milestone.
The organizer shared new photos and confirmed that funds received so far are being applied to the priorities described in the campaign.
A meaningful milestone has been reached for Give Every Child a Safe Place to Learn, with the next phase now being prepared.
