Fund With Us processes information relating to campaign review, donations, evidence verification, and approved PayPal disbursements. Users should read this policy before submitting personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Fund With Us collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information when individuals visit fundwithus.org, create or manage accounts, submit or support campaigns, communicate with us, participate in verification or review, or otherwise use the Fund With Us platform.

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, donors, organizers, beneficiaries, account holders, applicants, campaign reviewers, support contacts, and other individuals whose personal information is processed in connection with Fund With Us.

  • Account and profile information, including name, email address, phone number, password-related authentication data, language, country, and account preferences.
  • Campaign information, including campaign title, story, category, location, funding goal, intended use of funds, updates, images, videos, supporting documents, and beneficiary details.
  • Organizer and beneficiary verification information, including government-issued identification, date of birth, address, relationship to the beneficiary, authority or consent records, tax information, business or nonprofit records, and other compliance information.
  • Donation information, including donation amount, campaign supported, donor name, donor email, anonymous status, public message, transaction identifiers, refund status, dispute status, and payment status.
  • Payout information, including PayPal account details, payout eligibility information, payout status, reserves, holds, failed-transfer information, and evidence required for staged disbursements.
  • Communications, including support requests, legal notices, privacy requests, trust-and-safety reports, campaign-review responses, and other messages sent to Fund With Us.
  • Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, and date and time of access.
  • Cookie identifiers, session identifiers, authentication events, device signals, fraud indicators, and security logs.
  • Interaction data relating to campaign views, donation flows, form completion, errors, page performance, and feature usage.
  • Payment and transaction information from Stripe.
  • Payout, account-status, transfer, and verification information from PayPal.
  • Authentication, hosting, database, analytics, fraud-prevention, document-verification, email, and security providers.
  • Information from organizers, beneficiaries, donors, public records, professional advisers, regulators, or other persons where relevant to campaign review, safety, compliance, or dispute resolution.

Stripe processes donor checkout and payment-card information. Fund With Us generally does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

Stripe may process personal information, transaction information, device information, fraud signals, and payment-method information under Stripe's own terms and privacy notices.

Fund With Us is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Stripe.

Approved campaign disbursements are sent through PayPal where available and where the recipient maintains an eligible, verified, and unrestricted PayPal account.

PayPal may process identity information, contact information, account information, transaction information, financial information, device information, and compliance information under PayPal's own terms and privacy notices.

Fund With Us may receive payout confirmations, transfer failures, account limitations, holds, reversals, currency information, and related status information from PayPal.

Fund With Us is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PayPal.

Every campaign is subject to review by the Fund With Us Campaign Review Committee before publication.

The Committee may create and maintain internal review notes, risk assessments, requests for additional information, approval conditions, rejection reasons, evidence-review records, monitoring decisions, milestone requirements, and staged-disbursement plans.

Committee records may include information about identity, beneficiary authority, intended use of funds, supporting documents, legal restrictions, sanctions exposure, fraud indicators, public-record checks, payment activity, and prior account history.

For campaigns with a goal or approved funding amount above USD 35,000, Fund With Us may use staged disbursements.

To support a staged release, organizers may be required to submit invoices, receipts, contracts, photographs, construction progress records, medical or supplier statements, delivery records, beneficiary acknowledgments, permits, PayPal records, or other documentary evidence.

Fund With Us may retain evidence, review notes, milestone determinations, payout decisions, and related communications for fraud prevention, compliance, accounting, dispute resolution, legal defense, and enforcement.

  • Create, review, publish, monitor, pause, reject, or remove campaigns.
  • Verify organizers, beneficiaries, authority, identity, evidence, and payout eligibility.
  • Process and reconcile donations.
  • Facilitate approved PayPal disbursements.
  • Operate staged-disbursement and milestone-review processes.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, impersonation, money laundering, sanctions violations, misuse of funds, prohibited activity, chargebacks, and security incidents.
  • Provide receipts, updates, support, legal notices, and service communications.
  • Improve performance, reliability, accessibility, safety, and user experience.
  • Comply with applicable law, court orders, regulatory requirements, tax obligations, provider rules, and contractual obligations.

Campaign titles, stories, images, organizer names, beneficiary information, locations, campaign goals, progress, updates, milestones, and selected donor information may be publicly visible.

Organizers are responsible for obtaining all permissions required before posting another person's personal information, medical information, images, documents, or story.

Information published on the internet may be copied, indexed, archived, or shared by third parties outside Fund With Us's control.

Fund With Us may use necessary, functional, analytics, preference, security, fraud-prevention, and advertising or campaign-measurement technologies where permitted.

Users may manage non-essential technologies through the cookie banner where available and through browser settings. Blocking certain technologies may affect platform functionality.

Personal information may be processed in countries other than the country where it was collected.

Where required by applicable law, Fund With Us may use contractual safeguards, provider commitments, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Fund With Us retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the platform, maintain accounts, review campaigns, verify evidence, process donations and disbursements, prevent fraud, satisfy accounting and tax obligations, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements.

Fund With Us uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure. Fund With Us cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for reporting suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Fund With Us is not intended for children under 18 to create accounts or campaigns.

Adults may create campaigns benefiting minors only where they have appropriate authority and permission to provide the relevant information.

Fund With Us may request parent, guardian, beneficiary, or representative consent before publishing or disbursing funds.

Fund With Us and its service providers may use automated tools, rules, scoring, or signals to help detect fraud, abuse, payment risk, account compromise, sanctions concerns, or other prohibited activity.

Automated results may be reviewed by personnel where appropriate. Fund With Us may request additional information or restrict activity based on identified risk.
